Greg Kerns is a senior creative leader with more than two decades of experience building high-performing teams and delivering premium brand work across enterprise in-house organizations and top-tier advertising agencies. His path to creativity began in the performing arts, where he trained as a writer and storyteller before transitioning into advertising—bringing a deep respect for narrative, audience, and emotional truth into every phase of his career.
Greg’s early work in television writing and production for Disney Channel, MTV, and BET sharpened his storytelling instincts and his ability to connect with audiences at scale. That foundation led him to advertising, where he rose through creative leadership roles in Manhattan, New York, including his tenure at Grey Group, guiding integrated digital and brand work for healthcare, finance, and consumer brands. He later relocated to Atlanta, where he continued to expand his leadership footprint at agencies including Moxie (Publicis Groupe). As VP, Group Creative Director, Greg built and led multidisciplinary teams across design, copy, UX, and technology, helping clients such as Verizon, Kohl’s, BB&T, and Ocean Spray modernize platforms, grow revenue, and strengthen brand relevance.
Most recently, Greg served as Senior Director, Creative Services at Mohawk Industries, leading an internal agency supporting three major brands and 15 product lines across premium, luxury, and B2B markets. Reporting to the CMO, he managed a $2 million annual creative production budget, built and led a 30-person hybrid team, and acted as a trusted advisor to executive leadership. His work delivered measurable results, including increased lead generation, significantly reduced agency and production spend, and faster, more efficient creative delivery.
Known for his calm, empathetic leadership style, Greg builds strong creative cultures by hiring thoughtfully, identifying individual strengths, and recognizing accomplishments. He is now looking toward his next opportunity to build and lead a high-performing creative team within a forward-thinking organization ready to solve what’s next.
