Creative lead on brand campaigns featuring online videos, websites, email, social media, digital ads, print ads and broadcast TV.

ACCOMPLISHMENTS:

Created Design Technology group by leveraging intrapreneurship and technology expertise; led 25 art directors, designers, copywriters, UX architects and front-end developers in connecting art, copy, code and brand elements with data, platforms and solutions to create relevant consumer experiences.

Formulated sub-departments: Design Studio (in-house and offshore talent), User Experience (UX architects) and Brand Narration (art and copy concept teams). Effectively managed creative process, scoping/planning, hiring, staffing and performance reviews. Owned a $200k annual budget for travel, training and talent development.

VERIZON WIRELESS:

Inspired high-performing creative teams delivering innovative ideas. Collaborated with AKQA and R/GA design team on digital brand guidelines through three major rebrands. Developed art and copy style guides and UX Standards and Patterns. Business Units included:

  • CRM – Successfully leveraged technology to run CRM program more efficiently. Developed a dynamic email template system that reduced redundancies, improved the QA process and increased speed-to-market. Launched the Personalized Video campaign that generated a $1.1 million lift in device sales.
  • Digital Ops –Effectively led design and UX teams for Verizon.com site with 175 million monthly unique visitors. Led multiple projects through analysis, design, execution and development. Drove collaboration between creative, user experience, account and technology teams. Provided high-level service and relationship management to senior-level clients. Grew online sales from 6% to 15% by employing a faster, more agile approach to site updates and redesigns.
  • MarCom – Created Connection Day, a brand new ownable day just for the campaign and generated 8 million unique site visits and drove Verizon’s best holiday sales season ever.

 

KOHL’S

Built a digital team of designers, production artists and developers that delivered real-time, relevant messages to multiple audiences in multiple formats across desktop and mobile at scale. Established a truncated client creative review process to streamline creative delivery.

  • Inspired lead developer to build a proprietary software program to save agency and client time and money.
  • Supervised development team that built tools for Digital Asset Management, product and asset feed.
  • Achieved 5% growth margin goal in year one by implementing automated creative production efficiencies.

 

UPS

Creative lead on UPS Social Media campaigns.

  • Co-ordinated national creative campaigns with Ogilvy New York.
  • Built digital brand guidelines playbook.

 

OCEAN SPRAY

Group Creative Director and UX group lead for the website redesign. Inspired client to implement new designs worldwide.

BB&T

Led the creative new business pitch and won the digital AOR account. Supervised the ideation and concept development for online videos, pre-roll videos, display banners and social media campaigns.

  • Led design team through digital rebrand.
  • Grew business from a half-million dollars in revenue to a multi-million-dollar account by establishing a solid client relationship, introducing new technology and delivering consistent high-quality creative work.
  • Expanded creative SOW from digital banners to CRM, social media, augmented reality and broadcast TV.
